Normal (Wild)
The normal or wild coloured Fischer’s is the original coloration found in the African savannahs. The normal is the foundation of my breeding program. Of all the colours I have in my collection it is still my favourite.

Yellow Dilute
The yellow dilute Fischer’s was a spontaneous colour mutation. As with all of the Fischer’s mutations, this is a recessive trait, meaning a bird must receive a dilute gene from both it's mother and father to visually display the different coloration. I currently have several yellow dilutes in my breeding program.

Dominant Pied Green
The Dominant Pied is a relatively new mutation. The dark green pied marking on the green series birds is very interesting. I’m looking forward to learning from and breeding from this mutation. This is Spot, my Dominant Pied Green male.

Lutino
Lutino is the ino mutation of green. The bright red eyes and head and pure yellow body makes for a very nice looking bird. Special care should be taken when breeding lutinos. You should never place two red eyed birds together. This is Orro, a Lutino male from a previous season. Solace is my current lutino hen and she is paired with my Dominant Pied Green.

Olive
Olive Fischer’s have a double dark factor that gives them their beautiful olive colour. A breeder should never breed two double dark factor birds together as the result is a very small and weak bird. I have two olive Fischer’s in my collection that are paired with yellow dilute partners. It took me several years to find some quality specimens of olive Fischer’s and I’m enjoying having them in my program.

Spangle
The Spangle mutation is one of my favorites to work with. It is a Dominant mutation and is very handsome in a green series bird. You can have a Single Factor Spangle or a Double Factor Spangle. This is Sparkle, my Single Factor Green Spangle Hen.
