Blue Series

Cobalt Fischer's lovebird

Cobalt

The cobalt is a blue Fischer's with one dark factor, which darkens and intensifies the overall colour. It is a very beautiful bird that I’m pleased to work with. I currently have one cobalt in my collection and she is placed with my olive male.

Dominant Pied Mauve Fischer's lovebird

Dominant Pied Mauve

The Mauve mutation has always been one of my favorite. I’m very excited to be working with the Dominant Pied Mauve. The markings on Bowser, my male, are spectacular and he is a wonderful specimen of this mutation.

Dominant Pied Blue Fischer's lovebird

Dominant Pied Blue

The Pied markings on a blue series bird really stand out and the markings can vary dramatically from bird to bird. Breeding two pied birds together will intensify the pied markings. I’m happy to be working with this mutation and improving my breeding stock. This is Blue, my Dominant Pied Female.

Violet Fischer's lovebird

Violet

The violet Fischer’s is a truly regal bird. This wonderful mutation is very popular among breeders and great care should be taken in breeding it.

Violet Spangle Fischer's lovebird (dark phase)

Violet Spangle

Combining the Violet mutation and Spangle mutation makes a truly gorgeous bird. The Spangle mutation is dominant so some of the babies will show this mutation. I’m thrilled to have this colour in my breeding program. This is Violet, my Violet Spangle hen.

Pastel Blue (Light Phase) Fischer's lovebird

Pastel Blue (Light Phase)

I really like the look of the Pastel mutation in a light series bird. The feathers are a very beautiful baby blue. This mutation has been around for several years and is very strong.

Dominant Pied Blue Spangle Fischer's lovebird

Dominant Pied Blue Spangle

Combining the Dominant Pied and Spangle mutations in a blue series bird makes for a stunning bird. This was a surprise hatching as she hatched from Solace and Spot. I didn’t realize that one of them carried the Spangle gene. I love the look of the streaked feathers of the Spangle and the spots of the Pied.
